Week 2

Assalamualaikum and Hi everyone. So for week 2, I learn about The Introduction To ICT. 

 Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) is a broader term for information technology (IT) that stresses the role of unified communications and the integration of telecommunications (telephone lines and wireless signals), the internet, wireless networks, cell phones, computers, software, video-conferencing, social networking, and other media applications and services. 

 ICT can be defined as the use of hardware and software for efficient management of information. 

 So these are the aims of ICT in education. 1. To implement the principle of life-long learning / education To increase a variety of educational services and medium / method.

2. To promote equal opportunities to obtain education and information. 

3. To develop a system of collecting and disseminating educational information.

4. To promote technology literacy of all citizens, especially for students.

5. To develop distance education with national contents.  

6. To support schools in sharing experience and information with others.

There are five levels of technology use in education: 

1. presentation, 

2. demonstration, 

3. drill and practice, 

4. interaction, 

5. and collaboration.
