Week 5

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone, for week 5, I learn about the challenges faced by the teachersin adapting the technology in teaching and learning. Also, I get to know how to solve the problems.

Synchronous means “at the same time.”
It refers to a method of education delivery that happens in real-time. It requires live
communication online. It uses technology, such as teleconferencing, to achieve this.
The major advantage of synchronous learning is social interaction and immediacy. As for asynchronous distance education? Students receive clusters of weekly deadlines. They have the freedom to work at their own speed. It comes with more opportunities for student interaction.

Basically these are the challenges in distance learning:

1. Limits of technology devices & bandwidth and connection
issues
2. Lack of teacher experience in e-learning
3. Parents unable to understand distance learning requirements
4. Timing and scheduling
5. The curriculum (or some part) is not suitable for DL
6. Keeping students interested and engaged

So there are some solutions for the teachers , families and students:

• Teachers can use Google Classroom or any LMS for students with unstable Internet access. Teachers create supportive packets of the learning content and recorded sessions.
• Families can arrange times among their kids to use tech devices.
• School can use phone calls, e-mails which allows teachers to send messages to students to keep in contact with parents and students.
